
Yaoqianhutun Town is located in the eastern part of Sujiatun District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, 28 kilometers away from the urban area. The town has 19 central villages, three residents' committees and 34 natural villages.
The ethnic groups here include Han, Manchu, Xibe, Korean, and Mongolian. The town covers an area of 8,433 square kilometers.
The cultivated land area is 39,099 mu (including 38,169 mu of dry land, 930 mu of paddy fields, 3,748 mu of vegetable fields, 10,372 mu of economic fields, 7,385 mu of soybeans, and 15,000 mu of fruit trees). The main crops are corn, soybeans, fruits and vegetables.
The seat of Yaoqian Town Government is 20 kilometers away from Taoxian International Airport. The Shenyang-Dandong Railway runs through the town from north to south, the Shenyang-Dandong Highway passes through the town from north to south, and the Shenjingzi-Shilihe Highway passes through the town center from east to west.
The transportation conditions are very convenient. The Shahe River originates from Chaoxianling in Benxi County and flows from south to north through the town. The surface water in this area is 4-5 meters deep. The town is high in the south and low in the north, with hilly areas in the east and west.
