Introducing East Fushan Island
Dongfushan Island is located at the easternmost end of the Dongji Islands in the East China Sea. It is a barren land jokingly called "the hometown of wind, the kingdom of fog, the hotbed of rain, and the cradle of waves" by local fishermen.
This is the birthplace of the song "A Soldier's Second Hometown." Getting from the mainland to Dongfushan takes two days, three boat changes, and four island stops. Large buses have become pickup trucks, large ferries have become small fishing boats, and even small waves have become severe.
On Dongfushan Island, you can also see the Potala Palace on the sea, the reclining Buddha on Xifushan Island, the Dongji Stone House Group, the bonsai on the sea, the Baiyun Temple, the First Post of the East China Sea, the Lin Biao Island Protection Cave, the Elephant Trunk Peak, the two islands facing each other, and the strange rocks on the island.
Climate and best time to travel
June is the best time to see the sea, with neither too hot nor too cold, and calm winds. August to September is the typhoon season, so you need to pay attention to the weather forecast. October is the best time to see the sea, with plump fish and abundant crabs.
Recommended number of days and locations for visiting
It takes about 4-5 hours to walk around Dongfushan Island, but there is no mobile phone signal outside the village, so you need to pay attention to safety when going out around the island.
