The Ming and Qing Palace Scenic Area is a large scenic area that integrates film and television shooting, tourism, festival ceremonies and other functions. It is the largest film and television base in Hengdian Film and Television City.

The Ming and Qing Palaces are a 1:1 replica of the "Forbidden City" template, referring to the palace architectural techniques of the Ming and Qing dynasties. With the unique construction methods of a film and television city, they imitate the rituals of the Tang, Song, Yuan and other periods, and incorporate the architectural style of the Republic of China. It brings together four major architectural series including the capital's palaces, royal gardens, princely mansions, and hutong houses, and truly reproduces the official residences, street shops and palace styles of Yanjing in many historical periods.

The scenic area boasts numerous historical landmarks, including Chessboard Street, Chengtianmen Square, Thousand-Step Corridor, Wenwu Terrace, Jinshui River, and Yudai Bridge. It also boasts magnificent imperial palaces, natural gardens and lakes, magnificent dragon and phoenix eaves, and a majestic imperial square. Since its opening, the Ming and Qing Palace Gardens have attracted film crews from across the country with their cultural heritage.
