Mianshan Scenic Area, located 20 kilometers southeast of Jiexiu City, with its main peak at 2,440 meters above sea level, has been a popular tourist destination since ancient times. Its diverse collection of antique buildings reveals a unique architectural style, drawing on the strengths of previous generations while incorporating the modern creativity of designers and builders. This unique blend of ancient and modern Chinese architecture creates a unique style of modern antique architecture.
Mianshan originated from the story that Jie Zitui of the State of Jin was burned to death on the mountain with his mother in seclusion during the Spring and Autumn Period, so Mianshan is also known as Jieshan. There were temples built on Mianshan as early as the Northern Wei Dynasty, and it had become a considerable-scale Buddhist Zen temple in the early Tang Dynasty.
Spring, summer, and autumn are the best times to visit. March and April bring spring back to life in Mianshan, perfect for an outing. May to September, shaded by verdant pines and cypresses, makes for a tranquil adventure and a summer getaway. October and November bring the vibrant crimson leaves of Mianshan, creating a vibrant, vibrant landscape that is breathtakingly beautiful.
