Introducing Taoyanling Ancient Trail

The Taoyinling Ancient Road is located between Miaoyantou, Xinlian Village, Wangtan Town, Shaoxing County, and Jinyuao, Pingshui Town. It is also known as the Taoyanling Ancient Road and Taoyuanling Ancient Road. Judging from its architectural style, it was built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It runs roughly from north to south, is 4 kilometers long, and the road width is about 1-2.7 meters.

The road surface is paved with rough blocks and stone strips, and stone steps are set up in some sections. There are two types of road surfaces: flat road and stone steps, built according to the mountain terrain. The roadbed is made of stacked blocks of stone.

Along the ancient road, from north to south, there are the Wumingshi Road Pavilion, the Ling Temple, Huayu Temple, and the Jiadawang Temple. In addition, the two natural villages of Lingding and Miaoyantou, part of Xinjian Village, are also located along the ridge. Huayu Temple and the road hall no longer exist, and the Wumingshi Road Pavilion and Ling Temple were built after the Republic of China.
