Huangzhai Ranch, located over 20 kilometers southeast of Mingguang City, Anhui Province, sits on the Yangtze-Huaihe River watershed and covers a total area of 3,400 hectares. Huangzhai Ranch got its name from the Ming Dynasty Nan Taipu Temple, which established Dahuangzhai and Xiaohuangzhai here to raise military horses.
Huangzhai Ranch has a pristine ecology, open terrain and lush vegetation. Due to its special geological conditions, there are few trees, winding hills and undulating ridges, crisscrossing valleys, and vast grasslands. It is the best place to feel and appreciate the grassland scenery of "the sky is vast, the wilderness is boundless, the wind blows the grass low and you can see cattle and sheep."
Overlooking the adjacent Yuelong Lake from a distance, the pasture and the water are intertwined in a winding manner. The water moistens the pasture, the grass reflects the lake surface, the waves are sparkling, egrets fly together, and you can vaguely see small islands dotted with stars, which is like a fairyland on earth.
In autumn, the colors are picturesque, swaying and graceful. The sky is high and the land is vast, the sky is vast and the wilderness is vast, the grass is soft and the leaves are red. Although it seems austere, it is not desolate. In winter, the grass withers and the earth is bare. The terrain is rolling and rolling. Under the embellishment of ice and snow, the desert is lonely and quiet, the long river sets, and the vast wilderness is vast and magnificent. No matter what season you come here, Huangzhai will be a feast for your eyes. The grassland style will let you return to nature.
