Located approximately one kilometer west of the Hongshan Military Horse Farm, the Jinlianhuatan Scenic Area was established in 2004 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Hongshan Military Horse Farm of the Beijing Military Region. Baicao Aobao is constructed from 250,000 pieces of stone, symbolizing the unity of the 250,000 people of the banner, who contribute their wisdom and talents to the prosperity of Keqi. Tibetan Buddhist lamas were invited to consecrate the "Baicao Aobao," and it has since become a popular tourist attraction on the Bashang Grassland.
