Barry Manilow Seating Question

We are looking to buy tickets to see Barry Manilow for our fall trip to Vegas. Wondering if anyone has seen Barry at the Westgate and can make suggestions on seating locations. We have options of purchasing seats in the 1st row of the balcony or row R downstairs. Which location would offer us a better view? Any feedback is appreciated!!

Seeing Barry Manilow at the Westgate is a great experience, and choosing the right seats can make a difference in your enjoyment of the show. The Westgate theater is designed to provide decent sightlines from most sections, but the experience does vary depending on whether you’re closer to the stage or higher up in the balcony.

Here’s a breakdown of your two options:

  • 1st row of the balcony: Being in the first row of the balcony gives you an unobstructed view of the entire stage from an elevated perspective. You will have a clear line of sight to Barry and the band, and you won’t have anyone directly in front of you. The distance may make you feel a little farther from the performer, but overall the view is balanced, and you can see the stage setup and lighting effects very well.
  • Row R downstairs (or main floor): Row R on the main floor is closer to the stage horizontally, putting you closer to Barry in terms of proximity. However, you may need to look slightly upward if you are seated a bit farther back in the row, and depending on the theater’s slope, people in front could partially obstruct your view. The experience is more intimate, and you can see facial expressions and stage details better, but your view may be slightly limited if the theater isn’t perfectly tiered.

Other considerations:

  • Acoustics: The Westgate theater has good sound throughout, but some people report that the balcony can actually have slightly better overall sound clarity compared to mid-to-back main floor seats.
  • Comfort: Balcony seats typically have more legroom and space compared to some rows on the main floor.
  • Personal preference: If you prioritize intimacy and being closer to Barry, the main floor Row R is preferable. If you prefer an unobstructed, wider view of the stage, first-row balcony is ideal.

In summary, for a classic theater experience with a full stage view and no obstruction, the first row of the balcony is a solid choice. If you want to feel closer and experience Barry up close, go with Row R downstairs. Both will provide an excellent show, so it ultimately comes down to whether proximity or an unobstructed panorama is more important to you.
