Need a hotel for one night
We will be passing by Kansas City and need a safe, good hotel, preferably on the outskirts of the city.
We are both senior citizens and get confused so we would like to hit I29 OR I35 the next morning.
We are not worried about price too much.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.
For a one-night stay in Kansas City with easy access to I-29 or I-35 the next morning, it’s best to choose hotels located on the outskirts of the city near these interstates. This ensures safety, convenience, and a stress-free departure the following day.
Recommended areas:
- North Kansas City / Near I-29: This area provides easy access to I-29 heading north or south. Hotels here tend to be quieter than downtown and safe for overnight stays.
- South Kansas City / Near I-35: Staying near the I-35 corridor gives quick access to the highway the next morning. This area includes several well-rated hotels and is generally safe for senior travelers.
- Overland Park / Lenexa (Kansas side, near I-35): Suburban area with numerous hotels, restaurants, and easy access to I-35 north or south. Very safe and convenient for a single-night stay.
Hotel suggestions:
- Hilton Garden Inn Kansas City Airport / North: Close to I-29, clean, quiet, and offers complimentary breakfast.
- Drury Inn & Suites Kansas City South: Near I-35, offers free breakfast and evening snacks, reliable and senior-friendly.
- Courtyard by Marriott Overland Park / Lenexa: Comfortable, safe, with easy highway access, suitable for a quick overnight stay.
- Residence Inn or Homewood Suites in the suburbs: If you prefer more space and amenities, these extended-stay hotels provide comfort and a home-like environment.
Tips for senior travelers:
- Choose hotels with simple layouts to avoid confusion and ensure easy parking.
- Call the hotel in advance to request a room close to the entrance or elevator for convenience.
- Check that the hotel offers breakfast or a coffee bar, making morning departure stress-free.
Overall, selecting a hotel in the northern or southern outskirts near I-29 or I-35 will provide a safe, convenient, and comfortable stopover in Kansas City, allowing you to continue your journey smoothly the next day.
