Marriott hotel at Atlanta airport

I am arriving in Atlanta around 4pm on an international flight and departing the next morning at 8:30am on a domestic flight. I have a Marriott free night certificate that I wish to use at a Marriott airport hotel. Which Marriott hotel would be recommended with ease of entry and exit from the airport? We would also like a nice bar or restaurant for dinner in the hotel. Also, what is the simplest transport mode to/from hotel? I was thinking Uber to hotel and use Skytrain back to domestic terminal. Thanks for any help!

For a short stay at an airport Marriott in Atlanta, where you're looking for convenience, good dining options, and ease of access to the airport, I would recommend the following Marriott hotel:

  • Atlanta Airport Marriott: This hotel is located very close to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), offering easy access to both the international and domestic terminals. It's a popular choice for travelers due to its proximity to the airport and its well-equipped facilities. The hotel features a nice bar and restaurant called "The Lobby Bar" where you can unwind with a drink or enjoy a dinner in a comfortable setting. It’s ideal for travelers who want a hassle-free stay with easy airport access.
  • Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel: Another great option, the Renaissance is directly connected to the airport via the SkyTrain, making it incredibly easy to get to and from the hotel. The hotel has a contemporary restaurant and a bar that offers a relaxed environment for dinner and drinks. The convenience of the SkyTrain access makes this a solid choice if you want to avoid the need for Uber rides.

As for transportation:

  • Uber or Lyft: Using Uber or Lyft is definitely a convenient way to get from the airport to the Marriott hotel, especially if you have luggage. The ride from ATL to either hotel should take around 5-10 minutes depending on traffic, and is a straightforward, affordable option for quick transfers.
  • SkyTrain: The SkyTrain is an excellent option if you choose the Renaissance Concourse, as it connects directly to the airport and is free. For the Atlanta Airport Marriott, while the hotel is close to the airport, you would likely need to use Uber or Lyft to reach the hotel directly from the terminal. However, once you’re ready to depart for your domestic flight, using the SkyTrain is a simple and fast way to reach the domestic terminals.

In conclusion, either the Atlanta Airport Marriott or the Renaissance Concourse would offer excellent service and convenience. Both have dining options available and are close to the airport. If you prefer a hotel with direct access to the SkyTrain, the Renaissance Concourse would be your best choice. However, both are easy to access via Uber or Lyft for your arrival and departure.
