1st times to Las Vegas...needing tips

Question

We are planning to drive to LV in April and we are not sure where to stay, the strip or near Fremont Street. We are also going to an Eagles concert at the Sphere. Our budget is between $200 and $300 per night.

I would like tips on where to stay on the strip and near Fremont St that includes parking in the price. Is it better to shuttle places or drive and park? Places to stay away from and must see things to do. We do plan to drive to see the Grand Canyon on our way back home.
