Mbta station

We have booked the Double Tree by Hilton hotel Boston Cambridge, my question is how far away is the nearest MBTA station and what is it's name, also is there any other public transport in the area.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Cambridge is located in a convenient spot for accessing public transportation in the Boston area. The nearest MBTA station to your hotel is the Alewife Station, which is on the Red Line of the subway. Alewife Station is approximately a 10-minute drive or a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel, making it fairly accessible by foot, though you might prefer to take a bus or a short taxi ride, especially if you're carrying luggage or prefer not to walk long distances.

In addition to the Alewife Station on the Red Line, there are other public transportation options available in the area:

  • Bus Service: Several bus routes operate in the vicinity of the DoubleTree, including the #47, #47A, and #57 buses, which can take you to nearby neighborhoods or connect with other parts of the MBTA system.
  • Cambridge Public Transportation: Cambridge has a good network of buses that can take you around the city and into nearby areas, including Alewife, Kendall Square, and Central Square, which are also accessible by public transportation.
  • Taxi and Ridesharing: Taxis and ridesharing services like Uber and Lyft are also widely available around the hotel and can take you to various destinations in Boston and Cambridge.

So, whether you're looking to take the subway to downtown Boston or hop on a bus for local sightseeing, you’ll have convenient access to a variety of public transportation options near your hotel. The Alewife Station is your main connection for the subway system, but the bus network will also offer flexibility for shorter trips within the area.

Enjoy your stay and have a great time exploring Boston and Cambridge!
