Hanalei Bay
We are staying at the 1 hotel and want to check out the restaurants at Hanalei Bay Resort. Is there a walking path from our hotel to the HBR?

What the Path Is Like
According to TripAdvisor users, from the pool / beach area of 1 Hotel (specifically Puʻu Poa Beach), there is a paved uphill path that leads up to HBR.
It’s described as “a bit steep” going up from 1 Hotel to HBR, but easier to walk downhill from HBR back to 1 Hotel.
Other Useful Notes
- On Google Maps (per guest advice), you can see a curved walkway leading from the 1 Hotel area, past tennis courts, and up to HBR’s buildings.
- There was mention of a phone station near the start of the path at 1 Hotel, which in the past was used to call HBR’s golf cart shuttle for a ride up to the resort or restaurant.
- Because of the incline, going up may be a brisk walk.
Recommendation
If you’re planning to walk to HBR for dinner or drinks, be prepared for a little hike uphill. If that’s a concern, you might call HBR’s shuttle / golf cart service (via the phone by the path) to ride up instead. Coming back down is much easier by foot.
