Crazy golf
We are staying at Cabana bay and are wanting to play crazy golf and get some dinner nearby this evening. I’ve heard the Pirates golf is good? Does anyone have any other recommendations and restaurants fairly nearby? We have a car
Hi there! Staying at Cabana Bay puts you in a great spot to enjoy some fun crazy golf (mini-golf) and delicious dining options nearby. Pirates Cove is indeed a popular choice for mini-golf and is a fun, family-friendly spot. The themed pirate course is both challenging and entertaining, making it a great option for an evening activity. But if you're looking for a few other recommendations, here are some options:
- Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf: As you mentioned, this is a great choice and has two courses to choose from, both with pirate-themed obstacles. It's located just a short drive from Cabana Bay, and the whimsical design and friendly competition make it a hit with families and groups. Expect some good fun for all ages.
- Hollywood Drive-In Golf: Located at Universal’s CityWalk, this mini-golf experience has a retro movie-themed course that’s perfect if you’re a fan of classic films. It’s a bit more modern and themed around Hollywood-style movies, with a fun vibe that matches Universal’s aesthetic. It’s a great alternative to Pirates Cove and is even closer to Cabana Bay, just a short drive or a quick shuttle ride away.
As for dinner, there are a variety of nearby options that are both casual and family-friendly:
- The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar: Located at Universal’s CityWalk, this restaurant offers a unique fusion of sushi and burgers, making it an excellent spot for a fun dinner. The menu is diverse, and the atmosphere is lively and vibrant, perfect after a game of mini-golf.
- Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen: Also at CityWalk, this spot is both a whimsical restaurant and a dessert lover's dream. You can enjoy everything from savory dishes to decadent desserts (don’t miss their milkshakes!). It’s a great place to unwind after an evening of fun.
- Universal’s CityWalk (general area): If you're in the CityWalk area for mini-golf, you'll find a wide variety of dining options ranging from casual to a bit more upscale. There’s something for everyone, including Italian food, Asian fusion, and classic American fare.
- Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse: If you’re looking for a more upscale dinner option, Del Frisco’s offers delicious steaks and seafood in an elegant atmosphere. It’s a short drive from Cabana Bay, and perfect if you want a more refined dining experience after your evening of mini-golf.
For a fun evening with a mix of mini-golf and good food, I’d recommend starting at either Pirates Cove or Hollywood Drive-In Golf, followed by a casual or themed dinner at CityWalk. You can’t go wrong with either! Enjoy your evening!
