Universal one day recommendation which park?

We’ll be staying at Universal Cabana hotel for a few days in January. We want to go to just one Universal park for one day we’ve done all the parks years ago.

We’re not into roller coasters but, rides are good (just not the scary high ones) We are two active adults young at heart enjoy fun & no issues walking. Which park would you recommend thinking Epic as it’s new but, not sure. Thank you

If you’re planning to visit only one Universal park and you’re not into roller coasters but still want a fun and active experience, I’d recommend spending the day at Universal Studios Florida over Islands of Adventure or Epic Universe (which, as of now, is still in the process of expansion). Here’s why:

Universal Studios Florida offers a mix of exciting attractions and experiences that are fun but not too intense, perfect for active adults looking for fun without the high-speed roller coasters. The park has a variety of shows, attractions, and experiences that are both immersive and entertaining:

  • Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts – A fun and slightly thrilling ride without being too intense. It’s a 3D dark ride with some mild thrills and great theming.
  • Revenge of the Mummy – While it’s a bit faster, this indoor roller coaster is more of a fun ride with great special effects and isn’t as extreme as the larger coasters.
  • Transformers: The Ride-3D – A thrilling ride but more of an interactive 3D experience. It’s not a roller coaster but offers plenty of excitement with high-tech visuals.
  • Despicable Me Minion Mayhem – A fun and light-hearted ride that’s suitable for all ages and doesn’t have any intense drops or high-speed thrills.
  • Universal’s Horror Make-Up Show – A fun and educational show that’s both entertaining and informative. Perfect for a break from rides while still being engaged in the action.

Additionally, Universal Studios Florida offers excellent dining, shopping, and street entertainment in places like the Universal Studios Plaza and Springfield (home to The Simpsons area). If you enjoy interactive experiences, you can also visit attractions like the Men in Black Alien Attack or the Fast & Furious - Supercharged ride, which are fun but not overly intense.

While Epic Universe will offer some great attractions once fully open, including new themed areas, it’s still in its early stages, and some of its attractions may be less appealing if you’re looking for a more relaxed and accessible experience. Islands of Adventure is also a great park but has more high-speed coasters like the Incredible Hulk, which may not align with your preferences.

Overall, Universal Studios Florida will likely be your best bet for a day filled with fun, variety, and accessible attractions. You can enjoy plenty of excitement without having to deal with the super intense rides!
