SULEYMANIYE MOSQUE

The Suleymaniye Mosque was built in the 16th century and is one of the masterpieces of this mosque. It combines Islamic architecture, with its tall and majestic minarets, with Byzantine architecture, with its hemispherical domes, similar to the Hagia Sophia, which the Ottomans converted into a mosque when they ruled this country. Its beautiful decorations fit perfectly into this place.
