Guizhou Tianlong Tunpu: Stone Town

#Overseas Travel

Tianlong Tunpu Ancient Town, located in Anshun City, Guizhou Province, is an important post station on the historically famous Shunyuan Ancient Post Road. In order to strengthen his rule in the southwest, Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang, built walls and forts here, stationed troops and cultivated land, and developed it into a village.

Most of the Tunbu villages follow the architectural style of stone villages with the charm of Jiangnan water towns, which is like walking into a world of stone. The stone house embodies the perfect combination of residence and military. It is used as a living room when there is no war and as a defense facility when there is war. The locals have also retained some traces of life in the Ming Dynasty, so they are called "living fossils of Ming Dynasty life" by anthropologists.
