I had to watch the whole thing on my knees, mainly because I couldn't see clearly otherwise 😂. This white marble sarcophagus bed comes from the Qu Qing tomb, which was discovered only 20 years ago. Qu Qing was born into the Qu family of the Gaochang royal lineage, served as a military consultant for the Prince of Pingyang during the Northern Qi dynasty, and held the title of General Zhenwei. He died in the tenth year of the Sui dynasty's Kaihuang era. On February 6, 2024, 278 artifacts unearthed from Qu Qing's tomb ⚠️made their public debut⚠️, which we, who went to Anyang for the New Year holidays, were lucky enough to encounter, and it was quite a surprise.

The most noteworthy part of the entire Qu Qing tomb is this stone sarcophagus bed, whose exquisite and intricate carvings are breathtaking. It is very similar to the two Northern Dynasties to Sui period screen sarcophagus beds returned from the United States, which I saw at the 'Five Continents and Four Oceans' exhibition at the Shenwumen of the Forbidden City in 2023, except that this one is much more intact.

The carvings on the tomb door's lintel and the stone screen are also stunningly beautiful, it's just that the glass cover and the lighting make it extremely difficult to take good photos 😂.
