Aomoriโs cherry blossom spots are pretty spread out, so we booked a private car from Hirosaki and set off on an epic one-day sakura trip! ๐๐ธ Here's the route we covered โ and wow, every stop was a different kind of magic! โจ
๐ First Stop: Iwakiyama Cherry Blossom Avenue ๐ธโฐ๏ธ
Known as the worldโs longest cherry blossom road stretching over 20 km! ๐ธ๐ธ
Although only about 40% of the blossoms were out (since itโs at a higher elevation), the view was still breathtaking, especially with Mt. Iwaki covered in snow as the backdrop! โ๏ธ๐๏ธ๐ธ
๐ Second Stop: Fujimi Tsurunomai Bridge ๐ธ๐
Full bloom magic! ๐ธ๐
We caught the perfect shot with the Tsurunomai Bridge, cherry blossoms, a serene lake, and snowcapped mountains all in one frame โ absolutely stunning! ๐๏ธโจ
๐ Third Stop: Ashino Park ๐ธ๐
One of Aomoriโs most famous sakura spots โ and it didnโt disappoint! ๐ธ๐ธ
The cherry blossom tunnel with the cute little sakura train running underneath is iconic! ๐๐ธ
(P.S. The train runs once every hour โ so grab your spot early if you want that dreamy photo!) ๐ธ
Inside the park, the deep pink Somei Yoshino blossoms mix beautifully with the pale pink weeping cherry trees, all spread out across lush green lawns โ like stepping into a living painting. ๐จ๐ธ๐ฟ
๐ Bonus Spot: Takayama Inari Shrine โฉ๏ธ๐ธ
Along the way, we also visited the super photogenic Takayama Inari Shrine, which stretches dramatically across an entire hillside with its rows and rows of red torii gates! โฉ๏ธโค๏ธ
The viewing platform above the torii path is the ultimate photo spot โ don't miss it! ๐ธโจ
