I went to Asahiyama Zoo in Asahikawa City, the second largest city in Hokkaido 🐻‍❄️

It takes about 1.5 hours by express train from Sapporo, and about 2 hours by car 🚗

The grounds were larger than I expected, and I walked quite a bit 🚶‍♀️There were many animals such as polar bears, giraffes, lions, tigers, bears, and penguins, and I was very satisfied with my day 🐧❤️

I went in the summer, so I couldn't see them, but in the winter, you can see penguins walking on the snow 🐧
It seems a bit tough in Hokkaido in winter, but it must be so cute 🥺💓

The soft serve ice cream sold at the restaurant at the back of the zoo was rich and delicious 🤤🍦
