Atami: a Nostalgic Escape from Bustling Tokyo

Atami is my personal pick when I want to see early blooming cherry blossoms or an absolutely beautiful plum garden.

This town by the sea is just a couple of hours ride from the central Tokyo and it's one of the famous hot springs ♨️ day-trips from the city.

I also like it for a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere, a few nice museums, and great photo spots.
