While exploring Awaji Island, the family dropped into Yakiniku Ushijima for lunch—completely unplanned, but it turned out to be a fantastic surprise. What truly elevated the dining experience was that each group of diners had their own private room, offering a comfortable, peaceful setting to enjoy the meal.
We ordered their special wagyu beef bowl, and it was every bit luxurious—topped with gold flakes, beautifully marbled, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The beef innards bowl was also impressive—rich in flavour yet clean-tasting, with no unpleasant gaminess at all.
Service was attentive and the whole meal felt refined yet relaxed. For those visiting Awaji and craving quality beef in a private setting, this is one spot not to miss.
