Address: Jalan Air Itam, 11500 Ayer Itam, Pulau Pinang.
Getting there: It is around 20 minutes drive from the Georgetown city centre. The road is slightly elevated and narrow as it is located on a small hill. You may drive and park in from of the temple which cost RM2 per entry.
Highlights: The Kek Lok Si is a Buddhist temple located in Air Itam. It is also the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia! ‘Kek Lok’ means supreme joy in the Hokkien language, hence this temple also well-known as the Temple of Paradise. 😍
What makes this temple even more famous its is colourful mural which makes it very instagrammable. The temple is separated into different sections and I have took more than 3 hours to fully explore it. 😆
