The outer islands of Seychelles are truly amazing! This hidden paradise boasts some of the world's most beautiful beaches and the purest seawater 🌊 Follow my route to explore the outer islands, and you'll definitely capture once-in-a-lifetime photos 📸
📍Recommended Islands:
La Digue Island: The Anse Source d'Argent beach here is ranked among the top 3 most beautiful beaches worldwide! The huge granite boulders make every shot a masterpiece. You can rent a bike to tour the island, and it only takes 10 minutes to reach the beach.
Praslin Island: Be sure to visit Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve to see the magical coco de mer palms and giant tortoises 🐢 The Anse Lazio beach here is also breathtakingly beautiful.
Curieuse Island: A hidden gem! The turtle conservation center here lets you see many baby turtles, and you can snorkel alongside the turtles.
📍Useful Tips:
- It’s recommended to take a speedboat round trip from Mahé Island; book your tickets one day in advance.
- Remember to bring plenty of sunscreen! The UV rays here are very strong.
- Snorkeling gear can be rented, but it’s better to bring your own mask for hygiene.
- The island paths are all gravel roads, so comfortable beach shoes are essential.
- Bring enough cash, as many shops do not accept credit cards.
🍴Food Recommendations:
Le Chevalier Restaurant on Praslin Island: Must-try is their grilled octopus with an amazing sauce!
Fish Trap on La Digue Island: The seafood platter is huge, enough for two people to not finish.
💡Super Practical Transportation:
- Speedboat from Mahé to Praslin takes about 1 hour.
- Ferry from Praslin to La Digue takes 15 minutes.
- Curieuse requires booking a day tour boat.
Remember to book accommodation 3 months in advance! It’s really hard to get a room during peak season. We stayed at Le Relax Hotel on La Digue Island, with rooms opening directly onto a private beach, costing about 1600 per night per person—totally worth it!
