Awemazing lake view

Lake Batur is a stunning volcanic crater located on the south eastern side of the active volcano Mount Batur. It is considered holy by the Balinese people. The crescent-shaped volcanic lake is Bali's largest, and its tranquil blue waters are encircled by the Batur and Abang ranges' towering blue figures.

Lake Batur, also known as Danau Batur by the locals, is located in the crater of the active Batur Volcano. The lake was formed by an eruption in 1971, which took the lives of several people and destroyed property. The eruption obliterated Bali's largest temple, Pura Ulun Danu Batur, which was located near the lake. The temple was then rebuilt at a another location, away from Mount Batur's Ring of Fire.
