🌟Highlights:
The museum presents the splendid world depicted in a literary work. Uji is the setting for the last ten chapters of Murasaki Shikibu's "The Tale of Genji". The museum is the only one in the world where visitors can experience the work and the culture of the Heian period through restored models and images.
The theme of the Heian Hall is Heian-kyō and Hikaru Genji. The hall displays an elegant and splendid ox cart and costumes, and visitors can get a glimpse of the Heian period through lighting effects.
The theme of the Uji Hall is the Uji Chapters. The hall uses gauze curtains and life-size decorations to recreate the scenes in the Uji Chapters.
The museum also has a video exhibition room, a story hall, a special exhibition room, a corner introducing "The Tale of Genji", and a library.

1. The area around the museum is very quiet and has beautiful scenery. It already has the flavor of autumn.
2. The museum is not far from Uji Shrine, Uji River, and the statue of Murasaki Shikibu. It takes about ten minutes to walk there.
