Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is one of many rice terraces in the Bali region of Indonesia.
However, the Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is one of the largest and most scenic in all Indonesia. This Rice Terrace has been awarded the UNESCO World Cultural Landscape designation because the rice terraces are an important part of Indonesian culture, and Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is a prime example. The Terraces were built on hillsides that offers stunning scenery of the very green fields of rice and of the very lush landscape surrounding this area. There are some nice hiking trails that run through the rice fields where you can actually walk through and see how tall the rice fields can grow and you can see for yourself how large this rice terrace actually is and to see the wonderful scenery at this location. This Rice Terrace is very photogenic and well worth the visit.

The Jatiluwih rice terraces in north Bali are an oasis of beautiful greenery, peace, and countryside serenity. Yes, there are tourists, but unlike the hoards that descend on the rice terraces in Ubud to go on the swings and nests for Instagram likes, in Jatiluwih there is enough space for people to walk and bike while surrounded by the lush terrace fields and no gimmicky distractions.
