The perfect holiday destination in Ubud, Bali

Spent three days and two nights at this beautiful resort, and it was truly an amazing experience. Cicada is located in the Tegallalang area, a bit far from Ubud town, but nearby attractions like the famous Tegallalang Rice Terraces are close by. Although the transportation is a bit remote, this actually adds a sense of tranquility to the resort.

🌿🏠 From the hotel’s design style to every detail, it exudes a perfect blend of peace and luxury. The resort’s facilities are very complete, including the pool, restaurant, and various activities that make you want to stay longer. The warm welcome from the front desk upon check-in made us feel right at home. We especially loved the room’s decor—simple yet stylish—with those huge floor-to-ceiling windows offering a direct view of the beautiful scenery outside, like a painting.

🛏️ Our room was a suite with a private pool. Although the space wasn’t particularly large, it had all the necessary amenities. The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were just the right firmness, allowing us to sleep soundly until morning. The room also had a coffee machine, minibar, and a cozy sofa—everything was very thoughtful. The only minor issue was occasional dripping sounds, but it didn’t affect us much. It would be even better if the hotel could give a heads-up about this in advance.

🍴🚶‍♂️ The dining experience at Cicada was also a highlight. We had the best Indonesian fried rice here—not only did we order it again in the morning, but we couldn’t resist having another serving at night. The poolside restaurant environment was beautiful, and we spent a leisurely afternoon there. The staff were very attentive, making us feel very comfortable. Additionally, during dinner, we enjoyed a sincere local performance, which gave us a strong sense of cultural atmosphere.

Although it’s a bit far from Ubud town, the surrounding natural scenery is truly unparalleled. The Tegallalang Rice Terraces near the hotel are a must-visit; it’s recommended to go early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Also, there are some great restaurants nearby, such as Tepi Sawah Waroeng, where the food and views are excellent and definitely worth trying.

In short, Cicada Resort Bali Ubud is absolutely a perfect holiday destination. The hotel’s facilities, service, and dining are unforgettable. We are already eagerly planning our next visit and have recommended it to several friends. Next time, we definitely want to try their villas—there might be new surprises waiting!
