There was traffic on the way to the boat dock heading to Menjangan, so it took about 2 hours. From the dock, you have to take a boat for about 20 more minutes to reach the snorkeling point.
A diving specialist guide accompanied us from Lovina and safely guided us to the snorkeling spot. The moment I plunged into the first point, I instantly understood why everyone raves about Menjangan!
My underwater filming equipment was left behind in Gili, so I couldn’t capture any videos, but it was truly an emotional experience.
Under the expert guide’s leadership, as soon as I entered the water, it felt like another world. I can’t forget that underwater world. When I close my eyes, the beautiful scene still vividly comes to mind.
This was the second time I felt such emotion. It was the same feeling I had during my last dive in Palau.
It’s hard to express in words the ecstatic feeling of being in what feels like another world.
The powerful beams of light shining on the cliffs, the air bubbles released by divers below, the coral reefs that have grown for decades, and the harmony of colorful fish—there really are no words needed.
This place in the photo is called Deer Island, and even just taking pictures with a phone looks like National Geographic.
We had lunch here in this amazing space while watching these little creatures, and maybe because we were tired, the food tasted incredibly delicious.
After eating the most delicious lunch and resting, we moved to the next snorkeling point, then took the boat and finally the van back.
Bali Nusa Bay Menjangan snorkeling is a best snorkeling spot I highly recommend, even though the round trip takes over 4 hours, you won’t regret it at all.
