I would call it the most satisfying, unforgettable, and hardest to leave hotel on this Bali trip.
The hotel is very large, full of greenery, and every step feels like entering another world. You hear birdsong, the breeze, and flowing water, suddenly understanding why everyone says Ubud is a healing journey.
The hotel features jungle, streams, waterfalls, terraced fields, and infinity pools. You can have a great time just within the hotel. My favorite is the infinity pool by the stream—so beautiful it brings tears! Here, doing nothing at all, even in a heavy rainstorm, your heart feels very calm.
Maya Ubud Resort and Spa is located in Ubud, adjacent to the riverside walkway, less than a 5-minute drive from Ubud Monkey Forest and Ubud Traditional Art Market. This homely resort is 16.8 miles (27 km) from Sanur Beach and 1.7 miles (2.7 km) from Ubud Palace.

Relax with a full-service spa; here, you can enjoy massages and body treatments. Be sure to experience the two outdoor pools, outdoor tennis court, and fitness center among the resort facilities. Other amenities include free WiFi, concierge service, and babysitting. Guests can take advantage of a free shuttle bus within a 5-kilometer radius. The resort has three restaurants where you can choose to eat simply or stay in your room and enjoy in-room dining during certain hours. A paid buffet breakfast is available daily from 7:00 to 11:00.
