In Bali!! Stayed at the hotel of my life!!

When you come to Bali, the hotel you choose determines the way you vacation. The Jumeirah brand’s first all-villa resort in Southeast Asian islands almost occupies the last prime piece of land in Uluwatu, taking nearly 10 years to complete. The design company drew inspiration from Indonesia’s last Hindu kingdom: Majapahit, creating a water palace full of regional charm. The main buildings are about two to three stories high, with sloped roofs and white-gray plaster walls, looking like a palace complex perched on a seaside cliff at first glance.
Walking down the hotel’s central axis road, you’ll encounter a carefully preserved 120-year-old Bodhi tree and a replica of the Telowuran ruins. Gardens, fountains, and streams are everywhere, inspired by the royal ceremonial pavilions used for purification during the Majapahit era.
The hotel has a total of 123 spacious villas, with the smallest being 210 square meters. This time, I stayed in a garden view pool villa. The exterior architecture uses traditional Balinese style, but the interior decoration is more contemporary, with a dignified and elegant color scheme. Bali has had a profound influence on global resort hotels, such as floating breakfasts/afternoon teas and Balé pavilions originally used in temples, which have become standard features in resorts. The most enjoyable part every day is participating in the hotel’s various experience activities, including healing treatments and local handicraft projects. You can even go out on deep local explorations led by your butler to hidden spots.
The hotel’s executive chef is a super passionate “bald” uncle named Vincent. Under his leadership, the restaurant’s offerings have continuously improved, with award-winning quality in both taste and presentation. My favorite is the Akasa Gastro Grill BBQ restaurant located at the hotel’s highest point. From the terrace, you can enjoy breathtaking sea views and overlook the entire hotel and beach. I recommend having dinner here; under the sunset of Orange Bay, with music accompanying the sea breeze, it truly elevates the relaxation of the vacation to the extreme.
