Chenqiaoyi Scenic Area in Fengqiu County, Henan, offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural experiences. Visitors can enjoy scenic hikes, explore historical sites, and participate in local cultural activities.

Chenqiaoyi is located in the southeast of Fengqiu County, Xinxiang City, Henan Province. In 960 AD, Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin launched the Chenqiao Rebellion here, established the Northern Song Dynasty, and started a bloodless dynasty change.
Chenqiao Station currently has four houses and an old locust tree, once used to support war horses or post horses. After a thousand years, the tree has died, and local cultural relics authorities have chemically treated it to prevent it from weathering and breaking. Chenqiao Station has been designated a key cultural relic protection site by Henan Province. Modern writers have even praised it in their works.
Chenqiao was first built in the Five Dynasties and existed as a village during the Later Jin Dynasty. According to legend, a small bridge fell into disrepair and a man surnamed Chen donated money to repair it, hence the name Chenqiao. During the Later Zhou Dynasty, a post station was established, named Chenqiao Post Station.
In 960 AD, Zhao Kuangyin, a general of the Later Zhou Dynasty, staged a military coup at Chenqiao, donning the yellow robe and founding the Song Dynasty, known as the Northern Song Dynasty, with its capital in Kaifeng. Chenqiao is listed at the beginning of the History of the Song Dynasty, forever etched in history and renowned both in China and abroad. Kaifeng, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, once had a gate called "Chenqiao Gate." Chenqiao became the gateway to the north connecting Yan and Zhao.
There were two important routes heading north from Kaifeng: the eastern route, which ran through Kaifeng, Chenqiao, Changyuan, Chanzhou, Daming, Hejian, and Xiongzhou; and the western route, which ran through Kaifeng, Chenqiao, Huazhou, Xiangzhou, Luozhou, Shenzhou, and Xiongzhou. Both routes reached Nanjing (present-day Beijing) of the Liao Dynasty. This suggests that Chenqiao was the meeting point of these two routes, a crucial route for frequent political and military exchanges between the Song and Liao dynasties.
Warm temperate continental monsoon climate; Chenqiaoyi is the place where Emperor Taizu of Song, Zhao Kuangyin, was crowned emperor, and the site of the famous "Chenqiao Mutiny". It is suitable for travel in all seasons.
