Who would have thought? Indonesia is one of the top seven chocolate-producing countries, and Bali alone produces 50 tons a year! That's why many chocolate souvenirs come from Indonesia, and this place @therrchocolate is even called the LV of the chocolate world. Why? Because just like LV, they handle everything from the outside to the inside, including sourcing, making it a "travel masterpiece."
Although it's known as the chocolate LV and is one of the local luxury brands, the prices definitely won't scare you off. Usually, pricier chocolate bars here only cost around HKD 50 per box, and cakes are about 40-50 HKD. The reasonable pricing comes from the founder's suggestion to negotiate face-to-face with locals to arrive at fair prices.
Normally, I’m not a big fan of Red Velvet because it’s too sour, and I feel it’s no longer a dessert and you can’t even taste the chocolate. But this place’s Red Velvet is really delicious—the sourness is hidden inside the chocolate, and after saliva breaks it down, the flavor slowly emerges while the chocolate taste lingers. Because it was so good, my boyfriend and I decided to order another one, plus Tiramisu and hot chocolate.
Bought 5 boxes of souvenirs for less than 200 HKD. Regret not buying more to bring back.
