Ashoka Stupas the north side buddhist mark history

In Patan, Lalitpur, there are four Ashoka Stupas, each located on one side of the city. According to legend, Emperor Ashoka and his daughter Charumati built these stupas after visiting Swayambhu Chaitya. They are said to contain Buddha's relics and symbolize the four ages of human history: Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapar Yuga, and Kali Yuga.
