Top Three Hotels in Sanur: The Charm of Andaz

Andaz ranks in the top three hotels in Sanur, along with its sibling the Grand Hyatt, boasting the best beachfront location in the area. The rooms are beautiful, the reception and greetings are outstanding, and the breakfast is of superb quality and variety. The ambiance is fantastic and highly relaxed. Complimentary bikes are available for cycling along the boardwalk, which I recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Andaz. Guests have access to the entire gym and spa facilities situated next door at the Hyatt—it's a short stroll away, or you can hop on a provided golf buggy. What could improve? I have four minor complaints: 1) There aren't sufficient beach beds. When we visited, there were only 12 beds, far from adequate. 2) It wasn't easy to find loungers around the pool, and the staff weren't properly managing the reserving of beds—which is a widespread issue in Asia, as the kind-hearted staff hesitate to unsettle guests by removing items from beds reserved for hours without use. 3) Despite being a costly hotel, we were surprised that sunrise yoga and Pilates required an additional fee; I anticipated these would be complimentary (the fee led to them being empty most mornings). 4) The main pool is rather small, and allowing various inflatables has turned it into a sort of playground, which was frustrating since the kids' pool was generally vacant—I'd prefer kids' activities confined to the kids' pool and the main pool free of inflatables! Overall, the hotel is stunning, with an excellent location, relaxing atmosphere, and superb food. Choosing Andaz Bali will surely result in a wonderful experience.
