Riding the waves of Cherating

Surfing wherever waves break, surfers will ride them. The concept is simple—a breaking wave, a board and a brave athlete are all that is needed.

The concept is simple, but in actual practice it’s not. It needs a lot of energy to paddle against the current. This sport also increases ones patience as you have to wait under the sun for the right waves to come. A wave must be strong enough to ride, but not dangerous enough to toss the surfer as it breaks.

Well we have done it, try it. Will we do it again? . . .
