Traveling on a budget doesn’t mean you have to miss out on comfort food. During my Desaru adventure, I found this calming café and ordered their pumpkin soup with sourdough. It arrived steaming hot, creamy and rich with just the right balance of spices. The sourdough on the side gave it that extra crunch and heartiness.

The café’s playful decor and chill layout gave off major feel-good energy. I even spotted a huge teddy bear and pastel art that added to the charm. It’s the kind of place you go for the soup, but stay for the vibe. Total win for a solo, slow-living travel day.
