Kimpton Roseland: Excellent experience, luxurious and comfortable, but slightly inconvenient transportation

This time in Bangkok, I stayed at this Kimpton Roseland, a newly opened hotel in 2020. It's part of the IHG InterContinental hotel chain. You get a welcome macaron upon check-in, but it was so beautiful I didn't try any. 🤣

The room is simple and bright. Especially in the morning, when you open the electric curtains, the sunlight streams in, and your mood lifts. The bathroom and dressing room are connected, so the space is incredibly spacious. They also provide cute bathrobes. After a day of shopping, I soaked in the hotel bath and fell asleep in the bed.

The hotel also features a 3rd-floor infinity pool and a 24-hour gym, but I didn't get to use the pool this time. I always went out late every day. At night, you can enjoy the Bangkok night view from Bar.Yard, the rooftop bar on the 40th floor. Each guest can redeem a cocktail. The tropical fruit-flavored cocktails are sweet and delicious!

The overall hotel experience was excellent. If you're looking for a relaxing trip to Bangkok, the Kimpton is a great choice. The only downside is that transportation isn't very convenient. It's about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to Chidlom BTS Station, and a 12-minute walk to the Erawan Shrine. While the hotel offers a shuttle bus to the shopping mall at the main intersection, the shuttles are relatively infrequent, so walking is probably the best option.
