[Thailand/Bangkok] The Grand Palace, the most prestigious palace in Thailand, is located on the same grounds as Wat Phra Kaew.

Thailand is a Buddhist country, so there are many temples, but it is no exaggeration to say that Wat Phra Kaew is the most tourist-filled temple in Thailand in both name and reality. 🛕
Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace on the grounds

Even when I visited at the end of May 2024, there were quite a few tourists 🚶♂️

The Grand Palace, which boasts an area of 218,000 m2, is surrounded by walls of about 1,900 m on all sides, and the grounds are lined with Wat Phra Kaew, a temple exclusively for the royal family, beautiful palaces, museums, and more ✨

The order of tour is Wat Phra Kaew → Grand Palace, so you can also see the Grand Palace with a ticket of 500 baht (about 2,000 yen) purchased when entering Wat Phra Kaew!
The Grand Palace is also open from 8:30 to 15:30, just like Wat Phra Kaew, and closes earlier than other temples, so it is recommended to go early 👍

The nearest station is about a 7-minute walk from Sanam Chai Station on the MRT! There is a tuk-tuk waiting, so you can take one there too 🛺 (100 baht if I remember correctly)

Address: Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200 Thailand
