.. Or simply called Wat Suthat, is a first-class royal temple, a type of royal temple, which is one of the few in Thailand.

.. It is considered the temple of the reign of King Ananda Mahidol, the Eighth King.

Inside the ordination hall is the principal Buddha image, Phra Buddha Si Sakyamuni, a bronze Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, sitting cross-legged, 6.25 meters wide and approximately 8 meters high. It is considered the largest bronze Buddha image in the Sukhothai period with the most complete evidence left.
