"Tong Lau Experience Hall": Classic red brick walls, experience the old days of Hong Kong

#100 Ways to Travel

I visited the "Tanglou Experience Hall" earlier
It is located at 88 Staunton Street, a historic building.
In fact, the upstairs unit has been converted into a shared space
The first floor preserves the original Tang building.
You can visit (by appointment only)

In addition to the old shop name "Bao Bin Tea House" on the outer wall
The interior retains the classic red brick walls and patterned floor tiles.

There are also many Hong Kong tenement buildings with daily necessities from the 1950s to 1960s.
Kerosene stove, bamboo mat, old-style electricity, cassette tapes, tin mailbox, etc.
Full of old Hong Kong feelings
It also tells the story of the previous generation's living in the Tang Building🌆

Interested in experiencing it yourself
Remember to make reservations online first.
