📍 It is a third-class royal temple, Worawihan type, Mahanikaya sect, located on Thet Thai Road, Bang Yi Ruea Subdistrict, Thon Buri District, Bangkok. The back is next to Khlong Bangkok Yai, near Talat Phlu Railway Station.

📃 It was originally called Wat Wang Nam Won because the temple is located next to two canals: Khlong Bangkok Yai, Khlong Bang Nam Chon, and Khlong Tha Phra. Water often circulates into a whirlpool. It is an ancient temple built in the late Ayutthaya period.

🏯 It used to be the base of Phraya Pichai Dab Hak's army, which King Taksin ordered to ambush and attack the Burmese army.

📍 The prang in front of the main chapel also contains Phraya Pichai's ashes.
