Wat Chantharam Worawihan, Talat Phlu

✅️ Located on Thoet Thai Road, Bang Yi Ruea Subdistrict, Thonburi District, Bangkok
✅️ Wat Chantharam Worawihan is a third-class royal temple of the Worawihan type. It is an ancient temple built during the Ayutthaya period, originally named Wat Bang Yi Ruea Klang or Wat Klang. In ancient times, temples were not officially named as they are today. Wat Chantharam is over 100 years old. The ordination hall of Wat Chantharam Worawihan houses a Buddha image in the posture of calming the ocean, adorned with a crown, which has been registered by the Fine Arts Department. The condition of the ordination hall has been documented, and its murals, featuring Chinese artistic elements and intricate hand-painted designs, are exceptionally beautiful.
