✨️King Rama IV had the idea that according to ancient royal traditions, there must be 3 temples in the capital: Wat Mahathat, Wat Ratchaburana, and Wat Ratchaprathit. But at that time, Rattanakosin was still lacking Wat Ratchaprathit, so he donated his personal funds to build this temple.

✨️The Royal Vihara is decorated with marble, with doors and windows inlaid with Japanese pearls. The walls are painted with scenes of the Twelve Month Royal Ceremonies and a solar eclipse.

✨️The Phra Phuttha Sihing Patimakorn is a replica of the Phra Phuttha Sihing. Inside the Buddha seat are the relics of King Rama IV.

✨️The Bell Tower is hung with three bells, struck by an electric system.

The Vihara is open only during morning and evening prayers.
