Solo Trip to Bangkok|Enjoy the Grand Palace, Ruins, and Shopping to the Fullest!

On my 5-night, 6-day solo trip to Bangkok, I leisurely enjoyed everything from local markets to majestic temples and cute café hopping!

📍Places Visited
Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha)
Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)
Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Temple)
Wat Paknam (Giant Stupa and Instagram-worthy Emerald Room)
└*As of the end of May 2025: Buddha statue under construction
Shopping malls tour @ Terminal 21 / EmSphere / Emporium
Ayutthaya Ruins (accessed by train / toured ruins by tuk-tuk locally)
Health Land Spa & Massage (Thai style & foot massage highly recommended)
Chatuchak Market (weekends only / local crafts and souvenirs)
Pak Khlong Flower Market
Khao San Road

🚃Transportation
BTS & MRT (convenient for city travel)
Bolt app (safe for nights and outskirts)
To Ayutthaya, about 1.5 hours one way by train (early morning departure recommended)

💡Tips
・Temple visits are best in the cool morning hours! Drinks and a parasol are a must 🥵
・Dress modestly (having a stole or something to cover up for temples is ideal)
・Shopping is less crowded and more comfortable on weekdays
・Be aware that temples and local shops only accept cash 💵
・Using an eSIM makes local research easy! (Holafly worked perfectly 👍)

🏨Hotels
・HOTEL JOSH (2 nights)
⇢A modern hotel with a stylish bar and pool ✨

・Kingstone Suites (3 nights)
⇢Located in the Asoke area, with friendly staff, perfect for solo travelers ☺️
