What is the destination of your life? And along the way, have we grown at all? "On the Way" by Kowit Wattanarach is an exhibition that takes us back to reflect on the path of life through the eyes of a little boy named 'Kume.'
In a world full of destinations that people chase after, "On the Way" invites us to pause and look at the 'journey' itself—what have we truly learned from what we encounter, and how have those things changed us?
The artist tells stories from his life experiences, thoughts, dreams, and hopes through the character 'Kume,' a little boy in a yellow outfit with big round eyes, representing the feelings of youth that are stubborn, brave, and sincerely honest with his emotions.
Each piece conveys different moments of the journey, whether confusion, anger, or the tenderness hidden in Kume’s small smile, reflecting growth both from the artist’s perspective and the viewers who have all once been 'the little boy in the yellow outfit' in real life.
