Wat Saket Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan or Wat Phu Khao Thong

#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck Today, Taew's Journey will recommend a religious destination. This is Wat Saket Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan, also known as the Golden Mount, located in Bangkok. This ancient temple from the Ayutthaya period is incredibly fascinating.

Upon arriving, you'll find a variety of shops and various merit-making activities. Walk straight to the entrance, and you'll need to climb the stairs to pay your respects. Thais don't need to buy a ticket; foreigners can go directly up. There are 344 steps, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the side, lined with trees. Once you reach the top, you can pay your respects to the Phra Borommaphat, or Phu Khao Thong, the symbol of Wat Saket. King Rama III commissioned the construction of this sacred site. After your worship, you can walk around the Phu Khao Thong for panoramic views of Bangkok and stunning photo opportunities.
