Sunset on the Chao Phraya River – Wat Arun View
If you're looking for a beautiful sunset in Bangkok, a romantic atmosphere and the charm of the Chao Phraya River, a sunset viewing point at Wat Arun Ratchawararam is the perfect destination.
Getting there:
Take the BTS Silom Line to Saphan Taksin Station.
Then, walk down to Sathorn Pier and take the Chao Phraya Express Boat or tourist boat to Tha Tien Pier.
Once you reach Tha Tien, it's right across from Wat Arun. You can find a riverside spot, whether it's a cafe, a restaurant, or even a small pier, where you can enjoy the view.
Evening Atmosphere
Around 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM is the best time. The sun gradually changes colors from golden yellow to orange-pink before setting below the horizon. The reflection of Wat Arun's prang on the Chao Phraya River is a stunning sight that many people want to see for themselves.
Impressions
Watching the sunset on the Chao Phraya River reveals a different side of Bangkok: peaceful, warm, and romantic. Perfect for strolling, taking photos, or enjoying a light dinner by the water, this is a must-see experience when visiting the capital.
