The best riverside hotel along the Chao Phraya River

Enjoy a staycation at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok.

The highlight of this trip was the complimentary "Coconut Ice Cream" served to guests by the pool at 4 PM. It was delicious, and I ended up having several servings.

The room was great with a nice view, but I was slightly disappointed that the curtains were manual instead of automatic. For such a luxurious riverside hotel, having automatic curtains would be a nice touch. Perhaps some rooms already have this feature, but I'm not sure.

Breakfast offered a wide variety with high-quality options. The fruit juices were excellent with plenty of choices, and they even had sparkling wine. However, overall, it wasn't particularly outstanding.

The service was generally good and up to standard with no issues. This hotel is perfect for a relaxing holiday in Bangkok without needing to go anywhere. If you do want to explore nearby, the hotel provides a free boat shuttle to Iconsiam.
