At the beginning of the year, I went to Wat Mangkon to fix my bad luck and improve my fortune. After praying and asking for blessings, I walked around looking for food and found Auntie Noi, a famous restaurant that many pages have reviewed. It wasn’t closed for the New Year, so there were a lot of people queuing up. So I decided to give it a try. Would it be as delicious as they say? 😋
The shop is right across from Leng Hong gold shop. It’s at the entrance of the alley on Yaowarat Road. It’s not hard to find, and there’s always a line of people queuing up.
Today, I bought 3 things to try:
• Fried tofu: This shop’s tofu is soft on the inside and firm. It’s not like the fried tofu I’ve eaten before, which is hollow and crispy on the inside.
• Fried taro with bird’s nest: I named this myself, lol, because it looks like a bird’s nest. The taro is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It doesn’t absorb oil at all. If you like something crispy, I recommend this menu.
• Taro wrapped in tofu skin: Sold as a noodle, this noodle costs 40฿. It’s full of taro and wrapped in tofu skin very well. It’s super delicious.
This dish costs 90฿. It’s a bit pricey, but the quality is great. Full of taro and big pieces of tofu. Most importantly, the dipping sauce is very delicious. It is sour and slightly sweet. It has a lot of peanuts. If you eat a lot, it is very spicy. If you can't eat spicy, be careful not to dip too much. #Yaowarat #YaowaratDeliciousFood #Review
